Von Bregenz über Alberschwende und Andelsbuch nach Mellau und weiter nach Au. Direkt am Ende der Lawinengalerie von Au biegt man links ab und gelangt so nach Rehmen. An der Kirche bergauf zum Gasthof Rehmer-Wirt. Parken entweder in der Nähe des Gasthofes oder noch ca. 150 m ziemlich steil hinauf (orogr. rechts vom Bach; Beschilderung "Wasserfall" folgen) bis zu einem Holz- und Materiallagerplatz bei der Hochwasserverbauung. Man kann auch eine Auto-Umsetzung machen, indem man mit einem zweiten Fahrzeug von der Kirche etwa 20 m (in nordwestlicher Richtung (zurück-) fährt, dann halbrechts abbiegt, über den Rehmerbach kommt und dann in langgezogenen Serpentinen auf guter, wenn auch schmaler Teerstraße die sog. Rehmer Halde hinauffährt. Nach der 4. Serpentine geht es in einen Wald hinein und dort verbietet dann ein Schild die Weiterfahrtmit dem Kfz. Hier das obere Kfz. abstellen.

From Bregenz via Alberschwende and Andelsbuch to Mellau and on to Au. Directly at the exit of the avalanche gallery of Au you turn left and get to Rehmen. At the church uphill to the Gasthof Rehmer-Wirt. Park either near the inn or continue about 150 m fairly steeply uphill (orographic right of the stream; follow signs to "Wasserfall") to a wood and material storage area near the flood control structure. It is also possible to make a car transfer by driving a second vehicle from the church about 20 m (back) in a northwesterly direction, then turning half-right, crossing the Rehmerbach stream and then driving up the so-called Rehmer Halde in long serpentines on a good, albeit narrow, tarred road. After the 4th serpentine it goes into a forest and there is a sign prohibiting further travel by car. Here the upper Kfz. park.

Vom Auto-Abstellplatz auf kleinem Wanderweg hinauf zu einem Wasserfall und hier rechts aufwärts über einen verfallenen Weg bis zu einer unterhöhlten Felswand. An dieser entlang und dann wieder aufwärts. Bald erreicht man denn offiziellen Wanderweg und folgt danach wenige Meter später der Beschilderung in Richtung Satteleggalpe/Schönenbach. Nach der Waldgrenze erreicht man die Wika-Alp. Nun links haltend zum unteren Heustadel, wo Steigspuren hinab in die Schlucht führen. Falls man ein Auto versetzt hat, geht man vom oben abgestellten Kfz. die Teerstraße weiter aufwärts. Vorbei an einer Abzweigung nach links gehen wir wenige Meter nach der nächsten Links(!)-Serpentine rechts ab auf einen Wanderweg , dem wir bis zum Holzsteg über den Rehmerbach folgen. Alternativ dazu Zustieg ohne Umsetzen ab Ortskern orographisch rechts des Baches aufsteigen auf einem kleinen Wanderweg bis auf Höhe der Rehmer Halde ca. 1090 Meter über Nn. dann kurzfristig der Straße aufwärts folgen nach der Linksserpentine rechstsseitig wieder bergan dem Wanderweg folgen ca. 150m bis zu einem kleinen Übergang über die Schlucht.

From the car park on a small hiking trail up to a waterfall and here right uphill along a dilapidated path to an undercut rock wall. Walk along it and then up again. Soon you reach the official hiking trail and a few meters later follow the signs in the direction of Satteleggalpe/Schönenbach. After the forest border you reach the Wika-Alp. Now keep left to the lower hay barn, where climbing tracks lead down into the canyon. If you have moved a car, from the car parked above, continue up the tarred road. Passing a junction to the left, we go a few meters after the next left(!) Serpentine right onto a hiking trail , which we follow to the wooden footbridge over the Rehmerbach. Alternatively, access without moving from the village center orographically right of the creek climb on a small hiking trail to the height of the Rehmer Halde about 1090 meters above sea level. Then follow the road uphill for a short time after the linkserpentine right again uphill follow the trail about 150m to a small transition over the canyon.

Abklettern, Rutschen und Abseilen in relativ offener Schlucht. Nach dem 4. Abseiler unter den Überhang finden wir den nächsten Kettenstand, indem wir vom Gumpen die rinne links hinauf gehen. Die Kette ist dann rechts unterhalb der Rinne (siehe Foto!). Von hier seilen wir dann zum Stand über der 28m-Doppelstufe. Bei dem langen 45m-Schrägabseiler genügen auch 40m-Seile, weil man die letzten 5m abklettern (links) oder abrutschen (rechts) kann. Vor dem letzten Abseiler von der Geschiebebremse kann man bei dem Holzsteg auf den Wanderweg aussteigen. Am Einstieg ist auch recht spät im Jahr noch Bärlauch zu finden.

Downclimb, slide and rappel in relatively open canyon. After the 4th rappel under the overhang, we find the next chain anchor by going up the chute on the left from the pool. The chain is then on the right below the chute (see photo!). From here we then rope to the belaystation above the 28m double step. On the long 45m diagonal rope, 40m ropes are also sufficient, because the last 5m can be downclimbed (left) or slid down (right). Before the last rappel from the slide brake, you can get off at the wooden footbridge on the hiking trail. At the entry you can find wild garlic even quite late in the year.

Nach dem Schluss-Wasserfall über die Geschiebebremse, den man ggf. schon beim Zustieg gesehen hat, bei der Holzbank links hinaus auf den Wanderweg und hinunter zum (unteren) Auto.

After the final waterfall over the slide brake, which you may have already seen during the access, turn left at the wooden bench out onto the hiking trail and down to the (lower) car.
