Entweder aus Richtung Bern, Interlaken oder aus Richtung Luzern, Sarnen nach Meiringen im Aare-Tal. Von hier nehmen wir die Straße zum Grimselpass. Nach etwa 14 km (ab Meiringen) durchfahren wir den Ort Guttannen. 4,9 km weiter passieren wir die Einfahrt zum E-Werk (mit Pressluftbohrer-Denkmal). Von hier sind es dann noch 2 km bis zur Brücke über die Aare, wo der Ausstieg aus der Schlucht erfolgt. Parkplätze finden sich gut 70m vorher links. Dabei empfehlen sich die Plätze in Stichstraße linksab.

Either from the direction of Bern, Interlaken or from the direction of Lucerne, Sarnen to Meiringen in the Aare valley. From here we take the road to the Grimsel Pass. After about 14 km (from Meiringen) we pass through the village of Guttannen. 4.9 km further on we pass the entrance to the E-Werk (with compressed air drill monument). From here it is another 2 km to the bridge over the Aare, where the exit from the canyon is. Parking spaces can be found a good 70m before on the left. It is recommended to use the parking spaces on the left side of the road.

Vom Parkplatz aus überquert man die Straße in Richtung der alten Straßenbrücke. Von dort führt ein schmaler Pfad hoch zur Kurve mit der oberen Parkmöglichkeit. Empfehlung wäre wenn nötig nur das Material und konditionsschwache zu shutteln und alle Fahrzeuge unten zu parken, da die Parkmöglichkeit in der Kurve nicht groß und nicht optimal ist. Von dort folgt man der Straße nach Osten bis man nach ca. 200m rechts die Abseilstelle über die Plattenwand hinab in die Aare findet.

From the parking lot, cross the road in the direction of the old road bridge. From there a narrow path leads up to the bend with the upper parking possibility. Recommendation would be if necessary to shutteln only the material and konditionswache and to park all vehicles below, because the parking possibility in the bend is not large and not optimal. From there you follow the road to the east until you find after about 200m on the right the abseiling point over the slab wall down into the Aare.

Zunächst der Einstieg von der Straße über die Gneisplatten hinunter in's Flussbett. Dann Laufen, Abklettern, einige Sprung- und Rutsch-Möglichkeiten. Schlüsselstellen: "Loch" u. "Blocksprung". Kurz vor dem Ende ist eine Zipline (Stahlseil) eingerichtet. Mittels Tandem, Rolle oder Stahlkarabiner kann man bis über den Pool fahren und so den ebenfalls möglichen riskanten technischen Sprung umgehen.

First the entry from the road over the gneiss slabs down into the riverbed. Then walking, downclimb, some jump and slide possibilities. Key points: "hole" and "block jump". Shortly before the exit there is a zipline (steel rope). By means of tandem, pulley or steel carabiner you can go up to over the pool and thus avoid the also possible risky technical jump.
