Von Admont kommend auf der Gesäuse Str. B146 bis Johnsbach 5. (Nationalpark Gesäuse) fahren --> Parkmöglichkeiten: Großer Parkplatz Besucherzentrum Weidendom (Kostenpflichtig, € 6,- pro Tag!), Parken beim Gasthof Bachbrücke und Parkplatz Bahnhof Johnsbach ist nicht mehr erlaubt.

Coming from Admont on the Gesäuse Str. B146 to Johnsbach 5th (Gesäuse National Park) drive --> Parking options: Large parking lot visitor center Weidendom (Chargeable, € 6, - per day!), Parking at Gasthof Bachbrücke and parking station Johnsbach is no longer allowed.

Vom Parkplatz geht man über die Brücke zum Bahnhof Johnsbach --> hier re. den Talwanderweg "Rauchboden" folgen (nicht den Steig direkt hinter dem Bahnhof!) -->es gibt auf diesem Wanderweg zwei Abkürzungen durch den Wald, nach der zweiten muss man den Rauchbodenweg links verlassen und die aufgelassene Forststraße durch den Wald hoch folgen (Schild "Radfahren verboten", nicht den Rundwanderweg weiter gehen!) --> nach einigen Hm kommt ein steiles Schotterfeld das man bis zur Forststraße hoch geht (Aussichtsplatz mit Bank) --> dann weiter dem markierten Wanderweg auf das Buchsteinhaus folgen bis zum "Brucksattel", ca. 50m nach der Rastbank kommt links ein Steinmann (kurz vor der nächsten Forststraßenquerung), hier den Steigspuren folgen welche bergab in den Bruckgraben führen (tw. Steinmänner und gelbe Markierung).

From the parking lot you go over the bridge to the train station Johnsbach --> here follow the valley hiking trail "Rauchboden" on the right (not the path directly behind the train station!) -->there are two shortcuts through the forest on this hiking trail, after the second one you have to leave the Rauchboden path on the left and follow the abandoned forest road up through the forest (sign "cycling prohibited", do not continue on the circular hiking trail!) --> after a few meters there is a steep gravel field that you go up to the forest road (lookout with bench) --> then continue to follow the marked hiking trail to the Buchsteinhaus to the "Brucksattel", about 50m after the resting bench is a cairn on the left (just before the next forest road crossing), here follow the footprints which lead downhill into the Bruckgraben (tw. cairns and yellow markings).

Der Bruckgraben zählt durch seinen mühsamen Zustieg und Abstieg zu den konditionell und zeitaufwändigeren Touren im Ostösterreich--> im Bach angekommen geht es zuerst über kleine Kletter und Gehpassagen (schöne Auswaschungen) -->der obere Teil der Schlucht ist zum unteren Teil noch sehr offen--> über einige kleinere Abseilstellen und längere Gehpassagen gelangt man zur Schluchtenmitte ( letzte mögliche Fluchmöglichkeit rechts, steile Rinne bis auf Rücken - hier führt ein Steig bis zu den Gleisen) --> ab hier wird es richtig eng. (hoher Wasserstand/Gewitter bedeuten hier absolute Lebensgefahr!) --> im beeindruckenden und schönen eingeschnitten unteren Teil der Schlucht sieht man über dem Kopf alte Holzbalken (Triftanlage), die noch aus dem "hölzernen Zeitalter" stammen --> Die meisten Abseilstellen sind nicht hoch aber im Wasserverlauf und können daher für den einen oder andern etwas herausfordernd sein --> Der Schlussteil führt über mehrere Felsen und einer Aluleiter bis zum Ausstieg bei der Eisenbahnbrücke (!Vogelbrutplatz daher Beschilderung befolgen).

The Bruckgraben is due to its arduous access and descent to the conditional and time-consuming tours in eastern Austria--> arrived in the stream, it first goes over small climbing and walking passages (beautiful washouts) --> the upper part of the canyon is still very open to the lower part--> over some smaller abseils and longer walking passages you get to the canyon center (last possible escape right, steep chute up to back - here leads a path to the tracks) --> from here it is really tight. (high water level / thunderstorms mean here absolute danger to life!) --> in the impressive and beautiful cut lower part of the canyon you can see over the head old wooden beams (Triftanlage), which still come from the "wooden age" --> Most abseiling points are not high but in the water course and can therefore be somewhat challenging for one or the other --> The final part leads over several rocks and an aluminum ladder to the exit at the railroad bridge (!bird breeding place therefore follow signs).

Um den Rückweg einfacher zu gestalten schwimmt man (je nach Wasserstand!) die ca. 2 km lange Strecke einfach in der Enns (auf Bäume im Wasser achten!), bis zur Brücke/Parkplatz zurück. Alternativ 20 min. zu Fuß neben der Bahnstrecke.

To make the way back easier, you swim (depending on the water level!) the approx. 2 km long distance simply in the Enns (watch out for trees in the water!), back to the bridge/parking lot. Alternatively 20 min. on foot next to the railroad line.
