Von der aus Richtung Santander kommenden A 8 auf der Höhe des nordwärts am Meer gelegenen Stadt Ribadesella links abbiegen auf die N-634 und nach Arriondas fahren. Hier auf die N-625 abbiegen und über Cangas de Onis in Richtung Leon südwärts, am Rio Sella entlang aufwärts. 18 km nach Cangas de Onis, unmittelbar nach den Häusern von Ceneya biegen wir nach der Brücke über den Vallegon (rechts eine Wirtschaft)links ab und fahren etwa 3,5 km hinauf nach Amieva. Kurz vor Erreichen der Ortschaft biegt rechts eine Beton-Piste ab, die wir hinauffahren. An einer Verzweigung halten wir uns rechts, erreichen den Collado d'Angon (820 m ü.NN, Abfallbehälter, Startplatz für Wanderwege),fahren jenseits hinunter und kommen am Ende der Beton-Piste zum Central Electrica de Restano (700 m ü.NN). Hier stellen wir das Auto ab. Man kann auch, soweit erlaubt, weiter bis zum Ausstieg fahren(siehe GPS-koordinaten) - schmale Zementpiste, nicht für dicke Wohnmobile geeignet.

From the A8 coming from Santander, turn left onto the N-634 when you reach the town of Ribadesella on the north side of the sea and drive to Arriondas. Turn off here onto the N-625 and drive southwards via Cangas de Onis towards Leon, uphill along the Rio Sella. 18 km after Cangas de Onis, immediately after the houses of Ceneya, we turn left after the bridge over the Vallegon (a farm on the right) and drive uphill for about 3.5 km to Amieva. Shortly before reaching the village, a concrete road turns off to the right, which we drive up. Keep right at a junction, reach the Collado d'Angon (820 m above sea level, litter garbage can, starting point for hiking trails), drive down the other side and at the exit of the concrete road you will reach the Central Electrica de Restano (700 m above sea level). We park the car here. If permitted, you can also drive on to the exit (see GPS coordinates) - narrow cement road, not suitable for large motorhomes.

Wir überqueren den Rio Dobra und steigen auf einer Piste über der Schlucht ca. 20 Min. aufwärts. Wo die Piste sich wieder senkt und das Tal des Rio Dobra sich weitet suchen wir rechts am Hang einen geeigneten Abstieg in das hier breite Bachbett und kommen flussabwärts zum Eingang der Schlucht (Einstieg).

We cross the Rio Dobra and climb up a path above the canyon for about 20 minutes. Where the slope descends again and the valley of the Rio Dobra widens, we look for a suitable descent on the slope to the right into the wide streambed here and come downstream to the entry of the canyon.

Canyon in düsterer Atmosphäre; bei Einstieg um 11 Uhr teilweise Sonneneinfall in die tiefgrünen Gumpen. 5 Abseiler. Der Siphon nach dem 2. engen Abseiler kann durch Herausklettern am Felsen li. vermieden werden.

Canyon in a gloomy atmosphere; on entry at 11 o'clock partial sunshine in the deep green pools. 5 rappels. The siphon after the 2nd narrow rappel can be avoided by climbing out on the rock on the left.

Unmittelbar nach dem Ende der Schlucht rechts heraus und auf der Beton-Piste nach links zum E-Werk und dem Auto.

Immediately after the exit of the canyon, turn right and left on the concrete road to the E-Werk and the car.
