Wir fahren hinauf in das Verzasca-Tal bis Vogorno (495m üNN). Dort nehmen wir die schmale Straße hinauf nach Costapiana. Etwa 50 m nach der zweiten (außerhalb der Ortschaft) markanten Linkskehre (620m üNN) stellen wir rechts in einer kleinen Parkbucht das Auto ab.

We go up into the Verzasca Valley until Vogorno (495m above sea level). There we take the narrow road up to Costapiana. About 50 m after the second (outside the village) leftward haipin bend (620m a.s.l.) we park the car on the right in a small parking bay.

Direkt vor der Parkbucht finden sich zahlreiche Wegweiser an einer Metallstange, unter anderem einer nach "Colletta". Wir folgen diesem und kommen auf einem quasi horizontalen Pfad durch Weinberge in wenigen Minuten zur Brücke über den Torrente Molino (hierzu eigene Beschreibung). Wir folgen dem Pfad weiter, passieren die Kapelle beim Weiler Coletta (670 m Höhe) und erreichen auf dem nun leicht abfallende Pfad einen orograf. linken Seitenbach des Porta und in diesem ein paar Meter abwärts den Einstieg in den Porta (645 m Höhe).

Directly in front of the parking bay there are numerous signposts on a metal pole, including one to "Colletta". We follow it and in a few minutes we arrive at the bridge over the Torrente Molino on a quasi-horizontal path through vineyards (see separate description). Continue along the path, pass the chapel at the hamlet of Coletta (670 m altitude) and, on the path that now slopes slightly, reach an orographic left side stream of the Porta and in it, a few meters downhill, the entry to the Porta (645 m altitude).

Zuerst relativ wenig beeindruckend gewinnt die Schlucht im Abstieg zunehmend an Qualität. Schließlich geht es in attraktivem Ambiente hinunter zum Stausee. Bohrhaken sind vorhanden und in akzeptabler Qualität. Meist jedoch nur einfach eingebohrt. Teilweise gibt es Möglichkeiten auch außerhalb des Strahls abzuseilen. Da die Schlucht recht breit ist ist in den Bouldersektionen manchmal etwas Zeit vonnöten um die Haken zu finden. Gegen Ende kann in eine "Grotte" abgeseilt werden. Nicht unspektakulär vor allem für Anfänger. Wasserstandskontrolle am Einstieg (siehe Bild).

Relatively unimpressive at first, the canyon gains in quality as you descend. Finally, it goes down to the reservoir in an attractive ambience. Drill hooks are present and in acceptable quality. Mostly, however, only simply drilled in. Partly there are possibilities to rappel outside the rappel. Since the canyon is quite wide, in the boulder sections sometimes some time is needed to find the anchors. Towards the exit you can rappel into a "grotto". Not unspectacular especially for beginners. Water level control at the entry (see picture).

Rechts den steilen Hang hinauf mit einer kleinen Kletterei (wenn man letztere vermeiden will, gibt es auch schon vorher Ausstiegsmöglichkeiten, nachzulesen im Buch von Nizzola, aber nicht leicht zu finden). Wir kommen zu einem Sattel und folgen dem Weg links aufwärts. Wir treffen auf einen anderen Weg und gehen diesen zuerst nach rechts, bei erster Gelegenheit dann aber wieder links hinauf. Bei der ersten Linksserpentine außerhalb der Ortschaft Vogorno kommen wir wieder auf die Anfahrtsstraße (Brunnen, 550m üNN). Von hier auf der Straße oder einem abkürzenden Fußweg in wenigen Minuten hinauf zum Auto. Alternativ Ausstieg bei einer alten Wasserfassung. Hier war 2023 rechts ein Steinmännchen, danach auf der orographisch rechten Seite über Sprossen abklettern. Von der Stelle sieht man ein Stück voraus bereits eine Aluminiumleiter die "fix" installiert ist. Über diese Aufsteigen. Danach weglos (wir haben zumindest keinen klaren Pfad gefunden) aufwärts bis man auf einen Weg trifft. Diesem dann nach links folgen. Man trifft dann am Ende der Brücke auf die Straße und geht nach rechts oder links (je nach gewähltem Parkplatz) zum Auto zurück.

To the right up the steep slope with a small climb (if you want to avoid the latter, there are also exits before, read in the book of Nizzola, but not easy to find). We come to a saddle and follow the path to the left uphill. We meet another path and we go up it first to the right, but at the first opportunity we go up again to the left. At the first left switchback outside the village of Vogorno we come back to the approach road (well, 550m a.s.l.). From here on the road or a shortcut footpath in a few minutes up to the car. Alternatively, exit at an old water intake. Here was a cairn on the right in 2023, then downclimb over rungs on the orographic right side. From the place you can see a piece ahead already an aluminum ladder that is installed "fixed". Climb over it. Afterwards, without a path (at least we did not find a clear path) upwards until you meet a path. Follow it to the left. One meets then at the exit of the bridge on the road and goes to the right or left (depending on the selected parking lot) back to the car.
