26.10.2024 Schiltbach Peisen ★★★★★ 📖 ★★★ ★★★ 💧 Normal Completed ?
Only climbed up to the 70m steps. Up to there the anchors were there but not of the best/newest quality.

All anchors ok, but you have to search a bit. Below the C70 the anchors are RD behind a large block (not rg as in the topographic view). Very rewarding canyon! Don't be fooled by the amount of water you see from the valley (see pictures). The last 3 rappels are below the socket and it looks like very little. The water level at the top is okay. Take 6 CHF for the cable car or Twint.

Top water level, usually quite easy to walk in the active part, very slippery outside. Anchor old, but ok. Some fixed ropes could be replaced.

All stands ok. When descending into the canyon, first descend relatively steeply and from about 20 m above the river rather horizontally upstream until you come to fixed ropes. Then into the streambed. Rewarding!
15.08.2024 Carecchio (Inferiore) Simone Steffke ★★★★★ 📖 ★★★ ★★★ 💧 High Completed ✔
Level between start and exit decreasing from 520 - 450 liters. All easily doable. At the stand directly at the confluence (rd, right above a large block) the plate is missing. The bolt is still there and ok. Currently quite grippy so that even the downclimbs in the water go well. Nevertheless, always be careful 😉 There are anchors at all relevant points. From the confluence onwards, climb or jump. Top! 9 people, 1.25 h access, 4.5 h ascent

Water level high at the CP after the thunderstorm the evening before, but falling during the ascent. Entry at 1280 hM. Access to there 50 min. Anchor ok, partly something to look for. Relatively long walking passages, but good grip. Nice jumps and slides (after checking). There is a charge for parking, but almost all payment systems are possible (Twint, Easypark, Parkingpay, Verzasca ParkingCard).

Entry via side arm, lots of wood. From the confluence ok. Relatively good grip in the walking passages, somewhat slippery in the rappels.
11.08.2024 Vajo dell’Orsa (superiore) Peisen ★★★★★ 📖 ★★★ ★★★ 💧 Low Completed ✔
Shuttle not worthwhile, but access on foot is. Jumps and slides are easy to do. From our point of view rather an A3 canyon

Together with supperiore it is superiore. This canyon is also maximum A3

After the 150 ascents of the canyon this week, the canyon was nice and grippy and in good condition.

The access path is steep, at risk of falling rocks and not easy to find. The first third is quite aquatic, this part can be sporty to uncomfortable with more water. The man-made water drain after the first third of the canyon opens every 5 minutes for 2 minutes, but does not let much more water through even then. After the water drain, the amount of water decreases significantly. Jumps and slides must always be checked.

Great rappel canyon with impressive wall height. The two high rappels are beautiful. Otherwise a lot of walking, but varied. Important: Take a small plate and nut with you as well as a wrench or pliers. Anchors keep coming loose because of the limestone. The upper anchors in the 140 meter step could be replaced. Also be careful with falling rocks!

Access is well marked, a hiking trail up to the cross, then up to the right and easy to the entry. The first two rappels are the dry entry into the canyon. Watch out for falling rocks with following groups. Access and canyon not as dramatic as described. Most of the anchors are drilled so that you don't have to rappel in a water jet.

Above only rappel on dam walls, slippery and murky water. The high rappel is superiore equipped and has a platform to stand on But watch out for the many loose stones. Also known as cascata die salorno or titschenbach.

Not very slippery. Entry actually dry, water then came on entry. Nicely stepped in. Very impressive. Almost like a stalactite cave. Ingenious 😁

Very sparsely furnished. Cold water, some showers and (shorter) swims.; overall you are in the water a lot. No high rappels, but technical. Jump checks and hairy abseils done with man belay. Attention: one pool must be rappelled over! Little sun in the stream. Exit rd at the dilapidated bridge. Shuttle takes a long time, although it is only 6 km.

Anchors (some mono points) in good shape. Times given for walk-in and canyon a bit too sporty... add at least half an hour extra for both access and canyon. The hiking up is already a highlight. Several rappels in the waterflow - manageable but be aware, particularly when water level is higher! The awsome valley compensates for the longer stretches of walking in the riverbed (actually the first part is more or less hopping easily from one rock to the next). Amazing!
