Stands ok. Gumpen pretty much gravelled up. At the steel cable tyrolienne should be hunted down so far from the wire rope that you have so much ground under your feet on arrival that you can untie yourself (photo). This time we walked out in the stream according to the description in Amor/Riml in the direction of the Ache and have set there a Steimännchen, where we climbed up the embankment onto the path to the road (photo)

I have never experienced the water level so modest before. The deadwood above the gully was apparently sawed out so that one could descend in the gully itself. Only saw one other small group, as rainy day - but with "sun window" in the gully. Descent to high jump unpleasantly slippery. Alternate parking now on meadow north of village.

Wedged between two large commercially guided groups, we moved downward. However, relatively quickly, because the knowledge of the guides saved us some abseiling and they even kindly offered us twice the tyrolienne stretched by them. A big merci at this point! Because of the moderate water flow no problems at all. The canyoneers are asked with signs to park their car at the service building south of the place.

Stands ok. Handrail to the highest rappel in need of renewal. Last section of the approach no longer over the meadow below the Spätenbachalpe, but over the meadow north of it. At the signpost in front of the alp, turn left and descend via the Wise (track), then cross Seitenbach to the right and through the forest - electric fence - down to the entrance. If footpath through the Rappenlochschlucht, from the Dornbirner Ach directly up to the road.

Widely unknown gorge. The stands are mostly equipped with only 1 attachment. The numbering suggests an intermittent commercial access. After the 6th or 7th rappel (the rappels are numbered), a lateral rockfall has fallen into the gorge. This destroyed 1-2 of the old rappel points. We helped ourselves with rappels from deadwood. The situation here still seems a bit unstable.

This was my 19th (nineteenth) ascent of the Rio Vero. It was also my first canyon, which I climbed in 1991 at the tender age of 49. With my oldest daughter we trudged upstream from the Puente Villacantal, because my French canyoning informants had not pointed out to us the direction of the walk. A myriad of "wrong-directioners" came towards us ... This time direct entry at the weir (For the combination with Portiacha and Chimiachas my videos are in the net). This time, Portiacha cave, final Basaender and Cocineta (Chimiachas final rappel) only looked at. Exit from Puente Villacantal first on grating path down the rock face, then on traces of the abandoned path hinas to Campiong Rio Vero.

In relation to my 1.Begehung anno 2019 nothing has changed decisively. Also this time we have chosen the convenient entry via the slope. Also has the advantage that possibly the employees of the small power plant take note that someone is now in the gorge zugange. All hooks ok. In the course of the descent, additional water was apparently drained from the small power station. Nevertheless, the flow was unproblematic.
