It can be done in conjunction with Marona (worth doing it this way). Mainly horizontal, a lot walking and swimming, but also a couple of nice jumps. The exit point we used: once you get at the junction with Rio Valgrande, keep walking along Pogallo (now San Bernardino) for about 50 meters, walk all the way up the steep slope on your right until you reach the covered artificial channel, walk along it towards the road bridge, pass below it and then go up the stairs on your left.

Cold, crystal-clear water creating pools of incredible colors. We replaced some old chains with new rings. Traveled 3 hours with a group of 10 people. From here we continued with the Pogallo stream to Ponte Casletto.

Nice descent in crystal clear water, many dives and two rappels. Stainless anchors C55 2dx and C40 1dx. Travel time 1h 30min. For the approach on the right bank, after Alpe Cortasgell take the path to the right to the isolated lodge, pass a clearing behind the lodge and arrive flat at the edge of the rock rampart. From here by an old path with stone steps and steel cable descend steeply to the stream, arriving at an old water works.

Done both the upper part (from the water captation/dam) and lower part (from the stone bridge), by using the approach path on orographic left side of the valley after crossing the stone bridge. Upper with many pools to swim and many jumps, all doable, and with all the anchor point in orders and present quite everywhere where needed. Many wonderful jumps and the toboggan of 20m. Lower part everything in order and descended the final 65 from the central double anchor with chain, present also many others. 1h45 access and 4h45 progression in a group of 3

Parked right below and approach in 1h15, the passage starting from Mura ruins is not always evident at the beginning. Medium/low water level but not to be underestimated on some passages. Anchor points various, quite everywhere double and just missing on some minor pitches that require attention cause very slippery, in particular in the final part where the rock turns greenish starting from water capture. Pay attention to rope recovery cause in a pair of pitches it can get easily stuck. Unluckily second pool still with the dead animal on one side, but with the flow water is cristal clear everywhere else. Wonderful canyon and really waiting to do the overall Menta.

Parked along the street between the small church and the quarry worskhop towards the lake, approach in 10/15min to "ponte degli alpini" where the canyon starts. Many small pitches, generally very slippery, towards the end with the characteristic fall with the suspended pool which flows out through the broken rock wall like a hole in a pot, with anchor point very exposed out on the right. Wonderful view on Orta lake, once down swimmed towards the left until overcoming the garden of the villa and its gate, after it climbing up on the road and back to the car.

Done with canyoning introduction course of CAI Varese, many other commercial groups present in the canyon. Water level normal and all anchor points in perfect condition, all jumps and toboggans practicable, very slippery especially in the final part.
