At the moment you have to downclimb quite a lot, with more water it could be tedious. Quite slippery to walk. Anchors rather minimal and often set (too) close to the water. Jumping from the bridge into the lake is not possible at the current water level.

We only walked the lower part. We climbed from the road bridge, orographic left through the forest. Actually very nice rappels, but very slippery throughout and also a lot of wood in the canyon.

The further down you get, the more slippery it becomes. Then very slippery at the bottom. As the bridge over the Waldemme is currently occupied by a construction site, we recommend the alternative exit at the bridge over the Staubbach at 644'071.51, 196'958.08. Anchors were all in order. Rappels can / must be made on trees in places.

Easy to walk in the water, some places next to the water slippery. Rather low to medium water level. A wrench should be taken along. Beware of falling rocks in some abseiling sections.

The official parking lot was full, about 500m further you can drive down at the church to a paid parking lot (7h costs about CHF 15.-). We were 5 people, 6.5 hours for access and ascent. At the beginning very grippy and not slippery, towards the exit where the canyon is cut more slippery. If you have a practiced eye, you will also find some jumps (2 to approx. 10m). Once you have parked at the bottom, you can return to the car at the exit to the left of the stream.

All anchors free of ice. Ice formation on the walls, but no problem for rappel. At the end, from C18 partly knee-deep snow swamp.

Approach to the entrance to Rest. Fruttegg. The gorge is also passable when there is more water, as you can avoid almost everywhere in the forest. Before the ascent, be sure to check the water level at the exit in the Waldemme. If there is too much water, you can get off two rappels before the exit at the road bridge.

Very grippy to walk. A little wood in the gorge, but it does not bother. We needed for the approach 1h30min. The locations of the belays are partly chosen strangely. The quality of the hooks is ok. The two C30 have two hooks each.
