Von Santa Cruz nehmen wir die Straße ER 1-2 in Richtung Ponta Delgada (nördliche Richtung, küstennah). Gerechnet vom nördlichen Ende der Land-/Startbahn des Airports von Santa Cruz erreichen wir nach etwa 2,7 km die Ortsmitte von Fazenda (de Santa Cruz). Wir durchfahren die Ortschaft mit der dominierenden Kirche und kommen nach gut 350m zur Straßenbrücke über "unseren" Bach. Unser Auto parken wir noch etwa 250m weiter, wo rechts die Straße zum E-Werk abgeht. Falls wir ein zweites Auto zur Verfügung haben, fahren wir hinunter zum E-Werk und stellen es dort ab.

From Santa Cruz we take the road ER 1-2 in the direction of Ponta Delgada (northern direction, near the coast). Calculated from the northern exit of the runway of the airport of Santa Cruz we reach after about 2.7 km the center of Fazenda (de Santa Cruz). We drive through the village with the dominating church and after about 350m we come to the road bridge over "our" creek. We park our car about 250m further on, where the road to the E-Werk turns off to the right. If we have a second car available, we drive down to the E-Werk and park it there.

Vom Auto wieder zurück zur Brücke und unmittelbar südlich der Brücke hinab zum Bach.

From the car back to the bridge and immediately south of the bridge down to the creek.

Laufen, Abklettern, unfreiwillige Rutschpartien und 3 Abseiler (8m - 12m - 22m) erwarten uns. Der 1. Abseiler geht in einen Gumpen, der siphoniert. Bei größerem Wasserdurchsatz ist die dadurch gegebene Gefahr zu beachten (beim Abseilen kann man links hinaus, ohne ganz bis in den Gumpen abseilen zu müssen). Beim E-Werk kann man direkt aussteigen oder noch zunächst bis zur letzten, in das Meer abfallenden, Stufe weitergehen.

Walking, downclimbing, involuntary slides and 3 rappels (8m - 12m - 22m) await us. The 1st rappel goes into a pool that siphons. If the water flow is greater, be aware of the danger this poses (when rappelling, you can go out to the left without having to rappel all the way into the pool). At the E-Werk you can exit directly or continue to the last step that descends into the sea.
