Von Genf auf der Autobahn A 40 etwa 65 km in Richtung Lyon. Nach 3 kürzeren Tunneln passiert man die Kleinstadt Nantua (rechts unterhalb eines hohen Viadukts) und durchfährt anschließend ein etwa 3 km langes Tunnel. Die nächste Autobahnausfahrt nehmen wir und kommen nach St. Martin du Frere. Von hier geht es in südlicher Richtung auf der D 12 (Route de Condamine). Nach 13 km biegen wir dann links ab auf die D8 und erreichen nach weiteren 11 km die Ortschaft Hauteville-Lompnes.
Von hier nehmen wir die D 9 in Richtung Col de la Rochette, Ruffieu. Nach etwa 2 km bergauf kommen wir zu einer Straßenbrücke, in der Nähe ein Steinkreuz. Hier stellen wir das Auto ab.
From Geneva on the highway A 40 about 65 km in the direction of Lyon. After 3 shorter tunnels, you pass the small town of Nantua (on the right below a high viaduct) and then go through a tunnel about 3 km long. We take the next highway exit and arrive at St. Martin du Frere. From here we head south on the D12 (Route de Condamine). After 13 km we turn left onto the D8 and after another 11 km we reach the village of Hauteville-Lompnes.\From here we take the D 9 in the direction of Col de la Rochette, Ruffieu. After about 2 km uphill we come to a road bridge, nearby a stone cross. Here we park the car.

Der lange Abseiler ist 57 m ,wenn man durchseilt, 16 + 45, wenn man den Zwischenstand an der Naturbrücke nimmt. Hier wirkte der Haken an der Naturbrücke nicht gerade sicher (2011).

Entweder unmittelbar nach dem hohen Abseiler halblinks den Pfad hinauf zur Straße nehmen oder noch die 3 nächsten Stufen (jeweils 5 m) weiter im Bach hinab, dann weglos links hinauf, bis man auf den Pfad nach oben stößt.
