Von Torbole --> Riva --> Storo --> durch langen Tunnel ri. Albola Pass --> vorbei an Lago di Ledro und kl. Ortschaften --> immer geradeaus --> vorbei an Laghetto D’Ampola --> dann li. Abbiegen (Tremalzo) --> am Gasthaus Ampola Überstellungs- fahrzeug parken --> von hier fährt man die lange Bergstraße hinauf und an der Kirche van S. Croce vorbei --> nach ca. 1,5km nimmt man bei km 6,5 (Schild Durchfahrverbot von 1 Nov. Bis 30. April geschlossen) re. die schmale Straße hinunter (kl. Häusergruppe) bis zur Brücke (Einstieg 1125Hm).
From Torbole --> Riva --> Storo --> through long tunnel towards Albola mountain pass --> past Lago di Ledro and small villages --> straight on --> past Laghetto D'Ampola --> then turn left (Tremalzo) --> park your transfer vehicle at the Ampola Inn --> from here drive up the long mountain road and past the church of S. Croce church --> after about 1.5 km, at km 6.5 (closed from Nov. 1 to April 30), take the narrow road on the right (small group of houses) down to the bridge (entry 1125 m).

Von der Brücke bis zur 1. Abseilstelle sind es ca. 20min. im Bachbett (rutschige Steine) --> jetzt folgen gleich die ersten Abseiler die sich kontinuierlich fortsetzen -->zahlreiche Stellen kann man springen (genaue Einschätzung) od. Abseilen --> zwischendurch gibt es immer wieder Gehstrecken --> viele Abseiler sind auch außerhalb der Wasserführung angebracht und nur durch lange exponierte Querungen (meist Fixseil) erreichbar --> ein markanter Punkt ist eine Stelle mit einen riesigen Klemmblock unter den man sich hindurch seilt --> danach folgen noch ca. 5-6 Abseiler (einige auch Springbar) --> die letzte Abseilstelle (12m) kann auch gesprungen werden --> ab diesen Punkt geht es nur noch über kl. flache Rutschen und ein kurzes Stück im Bach entlang.
From the bridge to the 1st rappel point it is about 20min. in the streambed (slippery stones) --> now follow immediately the first rappel which continue continuously --> numerous places you can jump (accurate assessment) or. rappel --> in between there are walking passages --> many rappels are outside of the waterway and can only be reached by long exposed crossings (mostly fixed rope) --> a striking point is a place with a huge clamping block under which you have to rope through --> after that there are about 5-6 rappels (some also jumpable) --> the last rappel point (12m) can also be jumped --> from this point on it is only about small flat slides and a short piece in the stream along.

Encore une magnifique découverte que ce Rio Nero en ce troisième jour de Raduno 2024…Le débit ce jour était des plus agréable, eau quelque peu fraîche qui contrastait avec la température de l’air…Les rappels (25) s’enchaînent sans temps mort pour notre plus grand plaisir, agrémenté de quelques sauts histoire de varier les plaisirs…Descendu en 4h00 à 6 coéquipiers sans courir, la partie finale où l’on croise des groupes avec BE est la plus belle…Avons fait la navette de véhicules (7,2km) ça permet de gagner en fatigue…

Der Anfang ist wirklich sehr langweilig, das nächste mal würden wir auch den zuvor beschriebenen Parkplatz in der letzten Kehre nehmen. Ansonsten eine sehr schöne Schlucht mit einigen tollen Abseilern.
Bei Abseilstelle 21 nicht den beschädigten Haken auf der rechten Seite nehmen, es gibt einen neuen Kettenstand etwas außerhalb auf der linken Seite.
Abseilstelle 20 ist sehr eng und führt direkt durchs Wasser (siehe Bild), bei viel Wasser sicher ungemütlich, lässt sich aber gut auch trocken lösen. Bei mehr Wasser hier ggf. an Toprope denken!
Im Unteren Teil, kurz nach einem beschilderten Ausstieg kommt eine Abseilstelle, die vermeintlich durch eine Verblockung führt. Hier verhängt das Seil auf jeden Fall beim Abziehen! Etwas versteckt, da in schwarzer Farbe, gibt es hier aber nach wenigen Metern ein Fixseil auf der linken Seite, wodurch man sehr schön im Trockenen abseilen kann.
The beginning is really very boring, next time we would also take the previously described parking lot in the last hairpin bend. Otherwise a very nice canyon with some great rappels.
At abseil point 21, do not take the damaged anchor on the right-hand side, there is a new chain anchor just outside on the left-hand side.
Abseil point 20 is very narrow and leads directly through the water (see picture), certainly uncomfortable if there is a lot of water, but it can also be done dry. If there is more water, think about a toprope here!
In the lower part, shortly after a signposted exit, there is an abseil point that supposedly leads through a blockage. The rope will definitely get caught here when you pull it off! However, somewhat hidden, as it is black, there is a fixed rope on the left after a few meters, which allows you to rappel very nicely in the dry.

We ventured a new approach from the last hairpin thru the woods that was quite useful and cut off the first 20 minutes sheer walk. Recommended.
The water level was frightening in the narrows, but all were manageable with a little bravery. Don't get trapped by the old anchors in the 3-4th(??) pitch, that is heavily damaged and leads into a swirling pool. Not good for the nerves. Dry solution is far on the left.
Final part is kind of via ferrata. The last 11m jump is the reward.

Just a bit more water than usual, a bit problematic in 2 rappels but no water dangers were found. Amazing scenery, all bolts ok. Just don't rappel from the first chain u see, if it's rusty there probably is a better one that you still haven't found. Also, we had a 40m and a 60m rope with us, so to be able to work consecutively. The 40m rope wasn't enough way more often than the 2x25m rappel, so think about it when planning your tour ☺️
