Von Zirl hinauf Richtung Landeskrankenhaus Hochzirl, hier gleich den Parkplatz links neben der Einfahrt aufs Krankenhausgelände nehmen.

From Zirl up towards the Hochzirl regional hospital, take the parking lot to the left of the entrance to the hospital grounds.

Es gibt 2 mögliche Zustiege: 1) "von rechts": vom Parkplatz dem Forstweg "Welscher" entlang (lange Zeit ca. an der 1000er Höhenlinie entlang) und an der ersten Gabelung dem Weg (an einem Holzbalken vorbei) noch weiter geradeaus bis zum Bachbett folgen. Beim Zusammenfluss (= Ausstieg) den Grieskarbach queren und dem Pfad orogr. rechts noch ca. 200hm nach oben bis zum Einstieg folgen. 2) "von links": vom Parkplatz dem Forstweg "hoher Stich" folgen (immer orogr. links), bis auf ca. 1240hm ein Pfad nach unten zum Bachbett abzweigt, diesem bis zum Einstieg folgen.

There are 2 possible access routes: 1) "from the right": from the parking lot along the forest path "Welscher" (for a long time along the 1000m contour line) and at the first fork follow the path (past a wooden beam) straight ahead to the streambed. At the confluence (= exit), cross the Grieskarbach and follow the path orographic to the right for approx. 200m up to the entry point. 2) "from the left": from the parking lot, follow the forest path "hoher Stich" (always orographic left) until a path branches off down to the streambed at approx. 1240m, follow this to the entry point.

Unmittelbar nach dem Start schluchtet sich der Bach ein. Abwechselnd Laufstrecken, Abseiler und Abklettern. Immer wieder Totholzhindernisse im Bach. Zwischenzeitlich wird die Schlucht etwas offener. Wo von rechts der Ursprungbach herunter plätschert, ist die Tour zu Ende.

Immediately after the start, the stream gorges. Alternating running routes, rappel and downclimb. Again and again deadwood obstacles in the stream. In the meantime, the canyon becomes a bit more open. Where the Ursprungbach ripples down from the right, the tour comes to an exit.

Links hinaus auf den Weg, der zuerst am Bach entlang abwärts führt. An der Geschiebebremse führt er dann links hinauf und wir kommen wieder auf den Forstweg "Welscher". Auf diesem an einer Verzweigung weiter horizontal links haltend, kommen wir zurück zum Parkplatz.

Turn left onto the path, which first leads downhill along the stream. At the slide brake, it then leads up to the left and we come back to the "Welscher" forest path. Keeping horizontally to the left at a junction, we return to the parking lot.

Uns hat die Tour sehr gut gefallen, unzählige kleine Rutschen. Nicht so viel Totoholz. Wir haben 45 min für Zustieg nur gebraucht.

Super Tour. Becken im Vergleich zu letztem Jahr wenig zugekiest. Einige Haken wären zu erneuern (im unteren Abschnitt konnte man einen einfach aus der Wand ziehen... - hier behelfsmäßige Schlinge aus Altseil angebracht). 8+32m in einem Stück abgeseilt.

Superiore tour. Compared to last year, the basin is not very clogged. Some anchors need to be replaced (in the lower parts you could simply pull one out of the wall...). - Here a makeshift sling made from old rope). 8+32m rappelled in one piece.
