Von Belluno kommend auf der SS51 über die hohe Brücke über die Piaveschlucht, dann rechts Richtung Sottocastello abzweigen und der Strasse bis zu einer T-Kreuzung bei einem großen Parkplatz folgen. Hier der Strasse rechts abwärts folgen und nach etwa einem KM rechts abzweigen (Schild Al Lago). Über die Staudammkrone und an ihren Ende rechts abzweigen. Der Straße bis zur Brücke über den Anfela folgen. Mehr oder weniger steinschlaggefährdete Parkmöglichkeiten nach dieser Brücke. Von Norden kommend kann man Sottocastello erreichen indem man nach dem Tunnel unter Pieve di Cadore rechts Richtung Cortina abzweigt und danach die erste Abzweigung rechts nimmt. Falls man zwei Autos hat kann man nach dem Staudamm noch ein paar Meter die Forststraße rauffahren dann links parken.(Ersparniss ca 1 km flach gehen) Weiterfahren nur mit Geländewagen (tiefe Bodenrillen) , aber Stand 2022 war dort ein Fahrverbotsschild.

Coming from Belluno on the SS51 over the high bridge over the Piave gorge, then turn right towards Sottocastello and follow the road until a T-junction at a large parking lot. Here follow the road downhill to the right and after about one KM turn right (sign Al Lago). Cross the top of the dam and at its exit turn right. Follow the road until the bridge over the Anfela. More or less rock fall parking after this bridge. Coming from the north, you can reach Sottocastello by turning right towards Cortina after the tunnel under Pieve di Cadore and then taking the first turning on the right. If you have two cars, you can drive up the forest road after the dam for a few meters and then park on the left (saving about 1 km of flat walking). Continue only with off-road vehicles (deep grooves in the ground), but as of 2022 there was a sign prohibiting driving.

Vom Staudamm die Forststraße rauf , nach ca. 100 bis 150m links dem Wanderweg folgen. Nach einiger Zeit trifft man wieder auf die Forststraße, dieser folgen bis man die Anfela überquert. Dann noch ein kurzes Stück weiter bergauf bis rechts ein Pfad direkt zum Bach führt.

From the dam up the forest road, after about 100-150m follow the trail to the left. After some time you meet again the forest road, follow this until you cross the Anfela. Then a short distance further uphill until a path on the right leads directly to the stream.

Die Schlucht wurde seit der Cwiki Beschreibung unten definitiv verbessert (neue Haken , keine Baumabseiler mehr) Stand 2022 Die ersten 2 Stände rechts, unter der Brücke durch kommt nach kurzer Gehstrecke ein aquatischer 25m Abseiler Kettenstand rechts (Haken für Sicherungsseil zum Stand vorhanden. Abklettern bis man ein niedrige Klamm erreicht, der Haken für den 10m Abseiler versteckt sich links im Spalt. In der Klamm mehrere Abkletterstellen und eine 5m Abseilstelle von einem versteckten Haken rechts oberhalb der Abbruchkante. Am Ende dieser Klamm könnte man sehr steil nach links zurück zur Forststraße klettern. nach längerer Geh- und Abkletterstrecke beginnt der schönste Teil der Tour. Zwei 3m Rutschen führen in eine schön ausgewaschene Engklamm in der sich viele kleine Rutschen und 8 Abseilpassagen bis 25m verstecken. Danach noch ein 4m Sprung (der einzige der Tour), zwei Abseilpassagen und einige knifflige Abkletterpassagen im Wasserfall bevor man einen mühsamen 30min Abkletterabschnitt im offenen Gelände erreicht. Die Schlucht endet abrupt direkt im Stausee.

The canyon has definitely been improved since the Cwiki description below (new anchors , no more tree rappels) As of 2022. Old description: On the orographic right bank above the bridge rappel 8m from a tree, then immediately the first rappel hook on the right - a good way to check if the diameter of the ropes you brought is thin enough. After a short walking passages then an aquatic 25m rappel through the water steel from a tree with a sling on the left. Downclimb until you reach a low gorge, the anchor for the 10m rappel is hidden in the crevice on the left. In the gorge several downclimbs and a 5m rappel from a hidden anchor on the right above the break-off edge. At the exit of this gorge you could climb very steeply to the left back to the forest road. after a longer walk and abseil the most beautiful part of the tour begins. Two 3m slides lead into a beautifully washed out gorge in which many small slides and 8 rappel passages up to 25m are hidden. Then another 4m jump (the only one of the tour), two rappel passages and some tricky downclimb passages in the waterfall before you reach an arduous 30min downclimb section in the open terrain. The canyon ends abruptly directly in the reservoir.
