Über Locarno und Ascona und Ponte Brolla entlang der Maggia aufwärts bis Gordevio. Bei der Kirche im alten Ortskern Auto abstellen.

Via Locarno and Ascona and Ponte Brolla along the Maggia up to Gordevio. Park the car at the church in the old town center.

Vom Kirchlein (mit Brunnen) an der romanischen Brücke (345 m ü.NN) steigen wir am orograf. rechten Hang (nicht am linken wie beim Gei inf.!) bergan. Wir queren eine Wasserrinne (kein Weg!) und biegen wenige Meter danach vom horizontal verlaufenden Hauptweg auf den Pfad rechts hinauf ab. In der Nähe des Schluchtrandes geht es stetig bergan. Auf 705 m ü.NN erreichen wir die Häuser von Cortasell. Südlich am ersten vorbei gehen wir auf schwachen Spuren noch einige Meter aufwärts, bis ein Pfad rechts (ostwärts) in den Hang hineinquert und uns zu einem Haus über der Schlucht führt (730 m ü.NN). Hinter dem Haus vorbei (Wasserhahn) zieht der Pfad hinunter in die Schlucht, steil und teilweise exponiert, aber deutlich erkennbar.

From the little church (with fountain) at the Romanesque bridge (345 m a.s.l.) we climb up the orographic right slope (not the left one as in Gei inferiore!). We cross a water gully (no path!) and a few meters later we turn from the horizontal main path to the path on the right uphill. Near the canyon rim it goes steadily uphill. At 705 meters above sea level we reach the houses of Cortasell. Passing south of the first one, we go up on faint tracks for a few more meters until a path on the right (eastward) crosses into the slope and leads us to a house above the canyon (730 m a.s.l.). Passing behind the house (water tap), the trail descends into the canyon, steep and partly exposed, but clearly visible.

Abgesehen von den beiden hohen Abseilern kann man fast alles abklettern (beim großen Block geht es mit dem Wasser rechts darunter hinein - siehe Foto).

Apart from the two high rappel you can downclimb almost everything (at the big block it goes in with the water right below - see photo).

Entweder über Zustieg zum Gei inf. aussteigen und hinunter in's Tal oder besser im Gei inf. weiter und am Ende des Gei inf.(vgl. insoweit dessen Beschreibung!) nach der Bogenbrücke rechts hinaus zum Ausgangspunkt.

Either exit via the access to the Gei inferiore and descend into the valley or better continue in the Gei inferiore and at the exit of the Gei inferiore (cf. its description!) after the arched bridge turn right to the starting point.
