Von Campingplatz (Agua) die Straße (li.) Richtung Bierge nehmen --> nach kurzer Abfahrt kommt eine Brücke (re. Kurve) in der man li. auf den Schotterparkplatz am Bach parkt (Rio Formiga).

From the campsite (Agua) take the road (left) towards Bierge --> after a short descent there is a bridge (bend on the right) where you park on the gravel parking place on the left side of the stream (Rio Formiga).

Von Parkplatz aus über den Bach --> nach re. --> Beschilderung des Rio Formiga --> den Weg folgen bis zur einem großen Felsendach mit Mauerwerk darunter --> hier den sehr abschüssigen Weg re. neben den schon eingeschnittenen Schluchtteil nehmen (Achtung! der gefährlichere Weg geht unten. 2. bessere Weg geht etwas oberhalb) --> nun den Weg bis zum Stahl- seilgeländer weiter gehen --> dieser führt direkt zum Einstieg (1. Abseilstelle) zum Bachbett (R8).

From parking lot across the creek --> to the right --> signage of Rio Formiga --> follow the path to a large rock roof with masonry below --> here take the very steep path r. next to the already cut gorge part (Attention! the more dangerous path goes below. 2. better path goes a little above) --> now continue the path to the steel rope traverse --> this leads directly to the entry (1st rappel point) to the streambed (R8).

Die Tour beginnt gleich mit einigen glatten Felsen die man Abkletternd bzw. Rutschend oder Springend meistert --> schnell verengt sich die Schlucht jedoch mit wenig Gefälle geht es weiter bis zur 2. Abseilstelle (re. 8m) mit darüber steckenden Klemmblock --> schmal und schwimmend geht es weiter zum 2. Klemmblock --> Engstelle mit 3. Abseiler (li. 8m) in schmalen Gumpen mit verklemmten Bäumen (überklettern) --> 3m Tauchen bei Siphon (kann alternativ auch überklettert werden) --> nach kurzer Strecke wird die Schlucht wieder offener --> Kletter-, Sprung-, Rutsch- und Gehpassage --> große Felsverblockung kann durchklettert werden oder li. oben umgehen+ kleine Rutsche in Gumpen --> offene Schlucht Gehen und Klettern --> schmale Stelle zum 4. Abseiler (re.), 7m (Springen auch möglich) --> hinter dem Wasserfall befindet sich eine kleine Höhle (ca. 10m) (Lampe nicht notwendig) --> kurz schwimmen --> letzter Teil geht über gerade Vegetationspassage zu flachen Bachbett mit kleiner Rutsche (re. 5m) --> Gehen --> Spalte 5. Abseiler oder Abklettern und Springen --> gehen bis zum Steinmandl- haufen an den Felsrippen --> Ausstieg (li.) ca. 50m nach dem Steinmandlhaufen bei ca. 630Hm.

The tour starts immediately with some smooth rocks which you master by climbing down or sliding or jumping --> quickly the canyon narrows but with little slope it continues to the 2nd abseil (r. 8m) with above it stuck clamping block --> narrow and swimming it continues to the 2nd clamping block --> narrow passage with 3rd abseil (r. 8m). rappel (left 8m) in narrow pool with jammed trees (rappel) --> 3m dive at siphon (can alternatively be rappelled) --> after a short distance the canyon becomes more open again --> climbing, jumping, slide and walking passages --> big rock block can be climbed through or left --> small slide at the top of the canyon --> small slide in canyons bypass above+ small slide into pools --> open canyon walking and climbing --> narrow passage to 4th rappel (r.), 7m (jumping also possible) --> behind the waterfall is a small cave (ca. 10m) (lamp not necessary) --> short swim --> last part goes over straight vegetation passage to shallow streambed with small slide (r. 5m) --> walk --> column 5th rappel or downclimb and jump --> walk to the Steinmandl- pile at the rock ribs --> exit (le.) ca. 50m after the Steinmandl pile at ca. 630Hm.

Steigt man li aus dem Bach nimmt man den Weg re. (nicht li hoch) --> diesen folgt man der li. Bachseite bis zum Parkplatz.

If you leave the creek on the left, take the path on the right (not up on the left) --> follow the left side of the creek to the parking lot.
