Von Port de Soller fährt man auf der Bundesstraße C711 Richtung Soller. Nach dem Tunnel kommt ein Kreisverkehr, wo man in Richtung Pollenca abbiegt. Ab hier folgt man der langen kurvenreichen Bergstraße C710 auf fast 1000Hm, wo ein Tunnel zum 1. Stausee „Embassament de Cuber“ und nach kurzer Strecke zum 2. Stausee „Embassament des Gorge Blau“ , führt. Nach einem weiteren Tunnel folgt die Abzweigung nach „Sa Calobra“, mit einem Kiosk und großen Parkplatz auf der li Seite (Einstiegsparkplatz). Zuvor muss aber das Überstellungsfahrzeug 4Km weiter zum Ausstiegsparkplatz beim Restaurant „Escora“ gefahren werden (Parkplatz li).

From Port de Soller, take the main road C711 towards Soller. After the tunnel there is a traffic circle where you turn off in the direction of Pollenca. From here, follow the long winding mountain road C710 for almost 1000m, where a tunnel leads to the 1st reservoir "Embassament de Cuber" and after a short distance to the 2nd reservoir "Embassament des Gorge Blau". After another tunnel, the turn-off to "Sa Calobra" follows, with a kiosk and large parking lot on the left (parking entry). Before that, however, the shuttle car must be driven 4 km further to the parking exit at the "Escora" restaurant (parking lot on the left).

Vom Einstiegsparkplatz folgt man der Straße in Fahrtrichtung für ca. 100m. Nach der Steinbrücke zweigt ein li Forstweg zum Bach hinunter. Dort befindet sich ein altes verfallenes Haus (Central Electrica). Einstieg ins Bachbett auf ca. 500Hm.
Alternativ kann man über den Pas d'en Duro einsteigen, der in der Hälfte der Schlucht, knapp vorm Beginn von Sa Fosca, einmündet. Von Escorca der Strasse Richtung Soller folgen bis man zu einem ausgeschilderten Aussichtspunkt kommt, knapp danach gibts im Bereich eines spitzen Felsens rechts bescheidene Parkmöglichkeiten (nicht die Parkplätze beim Aussichtspunkt verwenden - falls man hier keinen Parkplatz mehr hat besser in Escorca parken). Vom Parkplatz beim spitzen Felsen der entlang der Strasse etwa 300m Richtung Soller gehen bis man rechterhand ein Eisentor in einem Maschendrahtzaun erreicht (N 39.82817° E 2.83288°) Durchs Tor und rechtshaltend auf deutlichen Steig absteigen. Im Bereich einer steilen Wiese bei einem Olivenbaum (N 39.82898° E 2.83322°) links abzweigen, und über die Wiese in Richtung Scharte absteigen (1 Steinmann und schwache Spuren). In der Scharte nach einem gemauerten Unterstand rechts in die Schlucht abzweigen wo bereits das erste Fixseil montiert ist (N 39.82939° E 2.83198°) Ab hier führen etwa 300m Fixseil bis zum Klammgrund hinunter, alternativ zu den Fixseilen sind auch Abseilstellen eingerichtet. Um den Pas d'en Duro im Aufstieg zu begehen sind Hand- und Bruststeigklemmen erforderlich - kein Klettersteig im eigentlichen Sinn.
From the parking entry, follow the road in the direction of travel for approx. 100m. After the stone bridge, a forest path branches off down to the stream. There you will find an old dilapidated house (Central Electrica). Entry into the streambed at approx. 500m.
Alternatively, you can enter via the Pas d'en Duro, which joins halfway down the canyon, just before the start of Sa Fosca. From Escorca, follow the road towards Soller until you come to a signposted viewpoint, just after which there are modest parking facilities on the right near a pointed rock (do not use the parking spaces at the viewpoint - if you don't have a parking space here, it is better to park in Escorca). From the parking lot at the pointed rock, walk along the road towards Soller for about 300m until you reach an iron gate in a wire mesh fence on the righthand side (N 39.82817° E 2.83288°) Go through the gate and, keeping to the right, descend on a clear path. In the area of a steep meadow by an olive tree (N 39.82898° E 2.83322°), turn left and descend across the meadow towards the saddle (1 cairn and faint tracks). In the saddle, after a brick shelter, turn right into the canyon where the first fixed rope is already installed (N 39.82939° E 2.83198°). From here, about 300m of fixed ropes lead down to the bottom of the gorge, alternatively to the fixed ropes there are also abseiling points. To climb the Pas d'en Duro ascent, hand and chest ascender are required - not a via ferrata in the true sense of the word.

Am Bach angekommen geht es anfangs zum Teil flach dem Bachbett entlang. Kleinere Stufen können umgangen bzw. abgeklettert werden. Die erste Abseilstelle lässt nicht lange auf sich warten. Nach ca. 30min gehen und abklettern wird die Schlucht kontinuierlicher. Die Stufen werden je nach Wasserstand/Können abgeseilt, abgeklettert, gesprungen oder gerutscht. Mit jeder Stufe wird die Schlucht eindrucksvoller und eingeschnittener. Bis zum Notausstieg in der Mitte der Schlucht, kann auf künstliches Licht verzichtet werden. ( Der Notausstieg re ist gut eingerichtet aber schwer. Er führt über Eisenbügel und Fixseilen vertikal aus der Schlucht. Kann auch als Einstieg benützt werden.) Wer bis zum Notausstieg schon unsicher/überfordert war, sollte hier auf keinen Fall weiter gehen. Für den gut geübten Canyonauten beginnt jetzt der psychisch und physisch anspruchsvollste, jedoch auch der schönste Teil, der Schlucht. Stirnlampe und Ersatzlampe sollten ein letztes Mal überprüft werden bevor es in die „Sa Fosca“ (die Dunkelheit) geht. Die Schlucht, insbesondere der 2. Teil, verlangt einen nicht zu hohen Wasserstand, da es mehrere enge Durchschlüpfe, Löcher und Siphonen gibt. An manchen wenigen Stellen kommt Tageslicht in die Sa Fosca. Aufgrund der Schluchtenlänge und Schwierigkeit ist ein früher Aufbruch ratsam. Am Vormittag hat man die beste Lichteinstrahlung in der Schlucht. Die Stufen sind alle mit Klebehaken oder Bohrhaken optimal eingerichtet. Viele Stellen können gesprungen oder abgeklettert werden (je nach Wasserstand!). Nach einer längeren Schwimmstrecke öffnet sich die Schlucht. Eine letzte Stufe führt zum Ausgang der Schlucht. Hier versickert das Wasser in Mitten der hohen Felswände, bevor man ins offene Bachbett gelangt.
Once you reach the stream, the trail initially follows the streambed, partly flat. Smaller steps can be bypassed or downclimbed. The first abseiling point is not long in coming. After about 30 minutes of walking and downclimbing, the canyon becomes more continuous. The steps are rappelled, downclimbed, jumped or slid, depending on the water level/ability. With each step, the canyon becomes more impressive and more incised. There is no need for artificial light until you reach the emergency exit in the middle of the canyon. (The emergency exit on the right is well equipped but difficult. It leads vertically out of the canyon via iron stirrups and fixed ropes. Can also be used as an entry). If you were already unsure/overtaxed up to the emergency exit, you should definitely not continue here. For well-trained canyoneers, this is where the most mentally and physically demanding, but also the most beautiful part of the canyon begins. Headlamp and spare lamp should be checked one last time before entering the "Sa Fosca" (the darkness). The canyon, especially the 2nd part, requires a water level that is not too high, as there are several narrow canyons, holes and siphons. Daylight enters the Sa Fosca in a few places. Due to the length and difficulty of the gorge, an early start is advisable. The canyon gets the best light in the morning. The steps are all optimally equipped with glued anchors or bolts. Many places can be jumped or downclimbed (depending on the water level!). After a longer swim, the canyon opens up. A final step leads to the exit of the canyon. Here the water seeps into the middle of the high rock faces before you reach the open streambed.

Hat man wieder Tageslicht, klettert man die letzten Stellen ins flache Bachbett. Hier trifft die Gorge Blau auf den Torrente de Lluc, den man re über das Bachbett oder einen schmalen Weg folgt (! Geht man hier li, folgt man der Torrente de Pareis für ca. 3 Std. bis zum Meer). Nach ca. 10min kommt eine Wandertafel mit dem Weg hoch nach Escora. Diesen folgt man ca. 1,20h. Anfangs steil dann gemütlicher in vielen Serpentinen durch hohes Gras, bis zur Straße (Ausstiegsparkplatz) hoch. (Durch das hohe Gras ist der Weg nicht leicht ersichtlich).
Once you have daylight again, climb the last sections into the shallow streambed. Here the Gorge Blau meets the Torrente de Lluc, which you follow right over the streambed or along a narrow path (! If you go left here, you follow the Torrente de Pareis for approx. 3 hours to the sea). After about 10 minutes you will see a signpost with the path up to Escora. Follow this for approx. 1.20 hours. Suite à la tempête de la semaine dernière, Sa Fosca est complètement remplie jusqu'au torrent de pareis et continue de couler un peu encore ce mardi.Quel plaisir de pouvoir en profiter dans ces conditions en plein mois d'août.C'est la première fois que je peux le faire avec une eau vraiment douce ce qui permet de s'attarder sur des détails qu'on ne verrait pas forcément quand on est congelé comme d'hab.Parcouru en 4h voiture-voiture avec mon pote Ale.

Exceptionnelle la partie sa fosca a voir une fois dans sa vie de canyon. On se demande comment une telle merveille a pu etre creer. Il ne ressemble a aucun autre canyon. Les boites a lettres et la couleur de l eau sont mystique.Fait en integral jusqu a pareis avec la sortie dans la mer ( qui est aussi incroyable). On etait 6 ( martel, doudou , tonio, quentin, anto). Fait en etanche particulièrement recommandé car l eau est glacé malgré une journée extrêmement chaude. Dans mon top 10 mondial.

Très bonnes conditions : petit filet d'eau dans Gorg Blau puis débit correct dans Sa Fosca. Très bien équipé. Descente très sportive aux vues des conditions. Nous avons commencé le canyon à 10h30 (la route était barrée par une course cycliste). Beaucoup de branches et d'arbres dans Gorg Blau qui freinent énormément la progression. Sa Fosca est toujours aussi magique avec une eau glacée. Sortie par Pareis de nuit qui n'arrange pas la visibilité des cairns.

Top Tour. In kleiner Gruppe von 6 Personen den Einstieg über den Klettersteig Paß des Duro gewählt.
Stände alle gut und fließendes Wasser nach dem 3 Pool bis kurz vor das Sa Fosca Ende. Der letzte Teil trocken. Bei den ersten Pools etwas sufpassen mit Holz in den Pools aber alles gut machbar. Im Dunkelteil weitgehend Holzfrei.
Durch die Torrent de Parais wieder zurück zum Auto nach Sa Calobra!
Top tour. In a small group of 6 people chose the entry via the via ferrata Pass des Duro.
Stands all good and running water after the 3 pool until just before the Sa Fosca exit. The last part dry. Be careful with the wood in the first pools, but everything is doable. Largely wood-free in the dark part.
Through the Torrent de Parais back to the car to Sa Calobra!

Gorg blau puis Sa Fosca. Les orages d’il y a deux jours ont dû faire du bien, les vasques de Gorg Blau sont pleines et propres (et froides!) dès le premier relais (après 30min de marche/dés approx dans le canyon). Dans ces conditions, les embâcles ne gâchent pas tant la descente. Hormis qu’on ne peut pas sauter. Petit filet d’eau de temps à autre dans Gorg Blau et Sa Fosca. Fait sans navette, mais attention le retour à pied sur la route ça roule vite!

Sa Fosca parcouru depuis Pas de Duro. Il y a énormément de branchages mais le gros problème c'est l'ultra sécheresse que nous subissons, la progression est très pénible, tien ne coule et les vasques sont pour beaucoup sèches. Le canyon reste magnifique bien sûr mais il faut vraiment espérer qu'on se mange des grosses pluies ou mieux encore de la neige ????

Sa Fosca bzw. Gorg Blau ist ein Klassiker auf Mallorca. Trocken, ohne Wasser, durchaus etwas müßig, aber trotzdem spektakulär. Wenn die Becken mit frischen Wasser gefüllt sind und das Wasser leicht fließt macht es noch viel mehr Spaß.

Sa Fosca or Gorg Blau is a classic on Mallorca. Dry, without water, definitely a bit idle, but still spectacular. When the pools are filled with fresh water and the water flows easily, it's even more fun.
