From Palma de Mallorca follow the road towards Soller. At Bunyola turn right and follow a winding road towards Orient. After the mountain pass several hairpin bends before you can park after the last leftward haipin bend.\n\nAuch approach and approach from the bottom of Santa Maria de Cami possible ( http://www.wikiloc.com/wikiloc/view.do?id=3901753 ) See also parking lot.

Approche (20 min): traduction alternative ➜

Follow the marked hiking trail towards Santa Maria through a wide valley to the stream. Several karst springs emerge here, which soon plunge into the depths over a 25m waterfall, the Salt des Freu. Depending on your preference, you can enter above or below the waterfall. If the entry is below, a 30m rope is sufficient for the rest of the route.

The 25m Salt des Freu is followed by another 15m waterfall (both can be bypassed on the left bank) before a longer walking passages begins with a few jumps and slides (if not dry). After about 400m the valley narrows again and the actual canyon begins with a 4m jump into a narrow basin. In the gorge there are many low rappel/jump passages up to max. 15m. Exit after a 5m drop formed by a large rock (slide right or rappel left). A gate in a fence is visible on the left.

Go through the gate and follow the path to a picnic area. Turn left here and follow a beautiful path high above the canyon back towards Orient. The locals obviously prefer to climb back through the canyon - lots of canyons in the tufa rock.
