Einstiegsparkplatz: Von Reutte über Pflach und Unterletzen in Richtung Gasthaus Bärenfalle fahren. Aus Richtung Füssen auf der L69 über Musau anfahren. Am Gasthof vorbei und noch kurz der Forststrasse folgen - viele Parkmöglichkeiten.\n\nFür den Alternativzustieg auf der orograf. linken Bachseite stellen wir das Auto auf einem Forstweg neben der Brücke der L69 über den Sababach ab.
Parking entry: From Reutte via Pflach and Unterletzen in the direction of Gasthaus Bärenfalle. From the direction of Füssen on the L69 via Musau approach. Pass the inn and follow the forest road for a short while - many parking possibilities. For the alternative access on the orographic left side of the stream, we park the car on a forest road next to the bridge of the L69 over the Sababach.

Über die Forststrasse (Reintalstraße) bzw. auf Abkürzern in's Reintal Richtung Musauer Alm, Otto-Mayer-Hütte bis zur Brücke über den Sababach. Einstieg noch vor der Brücke rechts hinunter in's Bachbett..
Beim Alternativzustieg (empfiehlt sich bei fehl. Umsetzungsmöglichkeit) folgen wir dem Forstweg auf der orograf. linken Hangseite zum Hangfuß, wenden uns dort nach rechts (Norden) und wandern am Hangfuß entlang, zuletzt weglos, bis wir auf den von Musau kommenden Wanderweg treffen. Nun (auf 835m Höhe) geht es links hinein und den Achselsteig hinauf in den Wald (Wegweiser "Musauer Alm, Otto-Mayer-Hütte, ..."). Wir queren ein Joch ("Achsel" - 1140m Höhe) und folgen dem Forstweg abwärts zum Bach. Noch vor Erreichen der Brücke auf Sicht weglos links hinunter in's Bachbett (1090m Höhe).
Via the forest road (Reintalstraße) or on shortcuts into the Reintal valley in the direction of Musauer Alm, Otto-Mayer-Hütte to the bridge over the Sababach. Entry before the bridge right down into the streambed.
At the alternative access (recommended if there is no possibility of transfer) we follow the forest road on the orographic left side of the slope to the foot of the slope, turn right (north) and hike along the foot of the slope, finally pathless, until we meet the hiking trail coming from Musau. Now (at 835m altitude) we turn left and walk up the Achselsteig into the forest (signpost "Musauer Alm, Otto-Mayer-Hütte, ..."). We cross a yoke ("Achsel" - 1140m altitude) and follow the forest road downhill to the stream. Even before reaching the bridge on sight pathless left down into the streambed (1090m altitude).

Zunächst Waldschlucht mit meist schrägen Abseilern, dann engere aber kurze Schrofenschlucht bevor man oberhalb des großen Wasserfalls steht. Meist ordentliche Wasserführung, die man in den Abseilern aber nicht zu spüren bekommt. Um die Abseilstellen zu erreichen muss aber des öfteren die Strömung gequert werden, was ob des extrem rutschigen Gesteins nicht unproblematisch ist. Oberhalb der beiden höchsten Abseiler trifft man auf einen Klettersteig - entweder links queren oder von rechts über eine Zweiseil-Brücke zum Abseilstand auf der linken Seite queren (Hier auch direkt Abseilmöglichkeit in 2 Abseilern). Von oben gehts es alternativ 27m abwärts, danach nochmal 43m rechts im trockenen. Im letzten Abschnitt kommt noch kurz Klammfeeling auf - 18m unter Klemmblock abseilen (alternativ rechts zwischen den beiden Wasserfühtrungen im freien Hang), abschließend 4m und 10m über eine Doppelstufe (Achtung: Hohlraum links im ersten Abschnitt) durchs Wasser abseilen. Bei starkem Wasserdurchsatz Trockenabseiler von links oben.
First forest gorge with mostly sloping rappel, then narrower but short Schrofenschlucht before you stand above the big waterfall. Mostly decent water flow, but you do not get to feel in the rappel. To reach the rappelling points, however, the current must often be crossed, which is not unproblematic because of the extremely slippery rock. Above the two highest rappels you meet a via ferrata - either cross to the left or cross from the right over a two-rope bridge to the rappel stand on the left side (here also directly rappel possibility in 2 rappels). From the top it goes alternatively 27m down, then another 43m right in the dry. In the last part there is a short rappel feeling - rappel 18m under the clamping block (alternatively on the right between the two water footholds in the free slope), finally rappel 4m and 10m over a double step (attention: hollow space on the left in the first part) through the water. In case of strong water flow, dry rappel from the top left.
