Von Tolmezzo fährt man auf der SS52 Richtung Villa Santina/Ampezzo --> in Villa Santina biegt man beim Kreisverkehr li Richtung Froni di Sopra/ Ampezzo ab --> am Ende der Ortschaft Ampezzo fährt man re auf der SP73 Richtung Sauris hoch --> nach einigen Serpentinenkurven und mehreren Höhenmeter kommt ein kleiner Tunnel --> nach einiger Zeit kommt ein 2. längerer Tunnel --> li davor befindet sich ein Steinbrunnen --> auf dem großen Schotterparkplatz gegenüber von Brunnen parken.(ca.830Hm)

Vom Parkplatz aus folgt man der Straße durch den Tunnel und weiter über die hohe Brücke der Lumiei. Noch vor dem 3. Tunnel geht man re. ab hier folgt man der Forststraße (Fahrverbotschild). Die Forststraße führt nach ca.15 min zu einem Stollengitter. (Tipp: Beim Stollen Neopren und Ausrüstung anlegen.) Rechts von Stollen führt ein kleiner abschüssiger Pfad zum 1. Stand am 2. Stollengitter. Einstieg/Abstieg zur Schlucht auf ca.950Hm.

ca.30 min From the parking lot follow the road through the tunnel and continue over the high bridge of the Lumiei. Before the 3rd tunnel go right. From here follow the forest road (no driving sign). The forest road leads after approx. 15 min to a gallery grid. (Tip: Put on neoprene and equipment at the tunnel.) To the right of the tunnel a small sloping path leads to the 1st stand at the 2nd tunnel grid. Entry/descent to the canyon at approx.950Hm.

1: Torrente Novarza: Von 2. Stollengitter geht es über den 1.Stand ca. 35m zum Zwischenstand der in der Rinne li anzutreffen ist. Von diesem Zwischenstand gelangt man nach weiteren 35m in eine Geröllrinne, die man bis in die Schlucht absteigt (Achtung! Der Einstieg bzw. Abstieg in die Schlucht ist sehr steinschlaggefährdet). Die Schlucht beginnt mit einer kurzen Gehpassage. An der ersten Abseilstelle angekommen geht es bis zum Schluss kontinuierlich (bis auf ein paar kurze Geh- und Abkletterpassagen), über mehrere Abseilpassagen, weiter. Einige Standplätze sind ausgesetzt und werden zum Teil nur mit einem Seilgeländer erreicht. Da die Schlucht durch die Ableitung meist nur wenig Wasser hat ist sie nicht allzu schwer, sollte aber nicht unterschätzt werden. Die Schlucht ist auch mit wenig Wasser sehr empfehlenswert und ergibt in Kombination mit dem Anfangsteil der Lumiei, eine schöne Tagestour. 2: Torrente Lumiei: Um nur den interessanten 1. Teil der Torrente Lumiei zu machen, muss am Schluss der Torrente Novarza. (beim Zusammentreffen mit Lumiei) ein ca. 20m langes Seil, für den Ausstieg, befestigt werden. Dazu geht man am Ende der Novarza (auf ca.650Hm) li durch den Stollen. Danach befinden sich li mehrere Bohrhaken wo das Seil befestigt werden kann. Nach dem Einhängen des Seils geht man ca. 50m zurück um beim großen Fels mit Bewuchs orografisch re aus der Novarza auszusteigen. Vor der kleinen Hängebrücke geht man re den Weg hinunter um nach ca. 5min in die Lumiei einzusteigen. Die Lumiei fängt, mit einer kleinen Abkletterpassage in tief eingeschnittener Schlucht, an. Nach einer kurzen Gehpassage gelangt man zu einer weiteren kleinen Stufe, die meist abgeseilt wird. Danach folgt eine sehr beeindruckende Stelle. 2 Bohrhaken auf der rechten Seite ermöglichen ein Seilgeländeraufbau zu einem großen Klemmblock/Stand. Von hier Seilt man sich freihängend ca. 20m (mit nur spärlichen Licht) in einen großen tiefen Gumpen, ab (Die letzten Meter können auch gesprungen werden). Schwimmend geht es am großen. Fels li vorbei, bevor ein schmaler Korridor zum Licht führt. Nach ein paar kleinen rutschigen Stellen und Gumpen gelangt man zum zuvor befestigten Ausstiegsseil (ohne diese Ausstiegshilfe muss man der Schlucht ca. 1,5h ohne große Schwierigkeiten folgen. Auf ca. 570Hm findet man re einen Weg der zur Straße hoch führt).

4-5h 1: Torrente Novarza: From the 2nd gallery lattice you go over the 1st stance for about 35m to the intermediate stance that can be found in the chute on the left. Nach dem Aufstieg am Seil, geht man durch den Stollen zurück und der Torrente Novarza ca. 50m hinauf. Beim großen Fels mit Bewuchs (Orgarafisch re) steigt man aus der Schlucht aus. Dieses Mal geht man über die kleine Metall Hängebrücke und folgt den Weg steil aufwärts durch den Wald, bis zur Straße und in Kürze zum Parkplatz.
