Von Sbg. Süd auf der A10 Richtung Villach --> Abfahrt Kuchl --> Richtung Abtenau, Rußbach und Hallstatt --> in Hallstatt, Parkmöglichkeit entweder am P1 neben dem Tunnel, oder nach dem Tunnel bei der Talstation der Schrägbahn (Kostenpflichtig).

From Sbg. south on the A10 direction Villach --> exit Kuchl --> direction Abtenau, Russbach and Hallstatt --> in Hallstatt, parking possibility either at P1 next to the tunnel, or after the tunnel at the valley station of the cable car (subject to charge).

Erste Möglichkeit: Mit der Schrägbahn hochfahren (€12,-Stand2024) und den kurzen Soleleitungsweg zum Bach/Brücke folgen. Zweite Möglichkeit: man spart sich das Geld und geht zu Fuß über den gut sichtbaren Wanderweg neben der Schlucht hoch --> von diesem Weg hat man mehrmals die Möglichkeit in die Schlucht zu blicken --> nach einigen Serpentinen kommt man am Franz Josef Stollen vorbei --> ab hier ist es nicht mehr weit bis zur Bergstation --> dann den Soleleitungsweg über die Eisentreppen bis zum Bach (Brücke) hinunter folgen --> Einstieg auf ca. 760Hm.

First option: Take the inclined cable car up (€12,-Stand2024) and follow the short brine pipeline path to the stream/bridge. Second option: save yourself the money and walk up the clearly visible hiking trail next to the canyon --> from this path you have several opportunities to look into the canyon --> after a few serpentines you pass the Franz Josef Stollen --> from here it is not far to the mountain station --> then follow the brine pipeline path down the iron stairs to the stream (bridge) --> entry at approx. 760Hm.

Auf der Brücke die über den Mühlbach führt, seilt man sich über das Geländer ca. 20m bis zum nächsten Stand an der re Seite ab --> anfangs liegen viele Bäume in der Schlucht --> am ersten Einzellbohrhaken re geht es ca. 20m zum Zweiten Stand li (Kettenstand), von dem im Idealfall ca. 30m über eine Kaskade abgeseilt wird (bei großer Verblockung besser unterteilen) --> es folgt eine kurze rutschige Kletterpassage und kleine Rutschen --> Kettenstand re, 25m über eine Kaskade --> kurze Kletterpassage (3m) zum Einzellbohrhaken li, hier über eine kleine Stufe ca. 15m Abseilen --> der nächste rostige Stand ist re --> 15m durch eine kleine Rinne (mit Überhang) abseilen --> 30m Abseiler (re) über eine Kaskade (in untiefen Gumpen) --> kurze Geh- und rutschige Kletterpassage zum hoch angebrachten Stand li --> 30m Abseiler --> nun steht man vor einer grünen Eisenbrücke --> Einzellbohrhaken re --> 5m Abseiler --> li 3m Abklettern oder re 5m Abseilen (über kleine Bäume) --> 15m Abseiler über einzelne Klebehaken li --> 10m Abseiler re --> kurze Kletterpassage re vor der nächsten Brücke --> unter der Brücke li 15m vom Bohrhaken abseilen (schöne Aussicht) --> anschließend 25m Kaskade (alter Kettenstand und Klebehaken!) Achtung! In der Mitte der Abseilstelle tiefer kleiner Gumpen --> höchste Abseiler (re oder li) ca. 35m --> über ein Geländerseil (li) kommt man zum Stand, ca. 20m Abseiler (Ankunft unter der Brücke --> am Ende der Brückenwand befindet sich noch ein Klebehaken für die letzte 15m Stufe.

On the bridge that leads over the Mühlbach, rappel over the railing for about 20m to the next belay on the right side --> at the beginning there are many trees in the canyon --> at the first single bolt on the right, it goes about 20m to the second belay on the left (chain anchor), from which ideally about 30m is rappelled over a cascade (better to divide if there is a large blockage). 30m over a cascade (better to subdivide if there is a lot of blockage) --> a short slippery climbing passage and small slides follow --> chain anchor right, 25m over a cascade --> short climbing passage (3m) to the single bolt left, here over a small step approx. 15m rappel --> the next rusty belaystation is right --> 15m rappel through a small chute (with overhang) --> 30m rappel (right) over a cascade (in shallow pools) --> short walking and slippery climbing passage to the high belaystation left --> 30m rappel --> now you are in front of a green iron bridge --> single bolt right -.-> 5m rappel --> left 3m downclimb or right 5m rappel (over small trees) --> 15m rappel over single glued anchors left --> 10m rappel right --> short climbing passage right before the next bridge --> under the bridge left 15m rappel from the bolt (beautiful view) --> then 25m cascade (old chain anchor and glued anchors!).) Attention! In the middle of the rappel passage a small pool --> highest rappel (right or left) approx. 35m --> via a traverese rope (left) you reach the belay, approx. 20m rappel (arrival under the bridge --> at the exit of the bridge wall there is a glued anchor for the last 15m steps.

Auf ca. 540Hm nach dem Durchgang steigt man li aus dem Bach --> man steht beim Gasthaus „zur Mühle“ --> für das Erreichen von P1, geht man vor dem Gasthaus re. über die kleine Brücke und weiter über die Mühlerstiege hoch (5min) --> hat man das Auto bei der Talstation geparkt muss man durch den Ort gehen und verwunderte Blicke in kauf nehmen --> nach ca. 15min erreicht man den Parkplatz.

At approx. 540Hm after the passage you climb left out of the stream --> you are at the inn "zur Mühle" --> to reach P1, go right in front of the inn over the small bridge and continue up the Mühlerstiege (5min) --> if you have parked the car at the valley station you have to walk through the village and accept astonished looks --> after approx. 15min you reach the parking lot.
