Durch die Kürze bietet sich eine Kombination mit dem VordererSpringbachCanyon an der gleich daneben in die Stranegg mündet.

Short but varied canyon with 3 higher steps around 20m. The canyon is partly nice and narrow, then again a bit wider, there are no exit points. The scours are mostly gravel so that no major jumps are possible. Due to the shortness, a combination with the VordererSpringbachCanyon is possible, which flows into the Stranegg right next to it.

Von der A9 bei Ried im Traunkreis abfahren und über Pettenbach, Scharnstein, Grünau ins Almtal fahren. Bei Habernau (Gasthof Jagersimmerl) Richtung Ödseen, Almtalerhaus abzweigen. Nach ca. 3km parkt man in einer der Parkbuchten in der Nähe des Ausstieges.

Leave the A9 at Ried im Traunkreis and drive via Pettenbach, Scharnstein, Grünau into the Almtal valley. At Habernau (Gasthof Jagersimmerl) turn off in the direction of Ödseen, Almtalerhaus. After about 3km you park in one of the parking bays near the exit.

Man folgt der Straße noch ca. 500m taleinwärts und zweigt dann rechts auf eine Forststraße ab. Diese führt über eine Brücke über den Straneggbach und nach weiteren 500m direkt zur Brücke beim Wasserfall. Kurz davor steigt man links über einen Rücken drüber und landet am Beginn des Wasserfalls wo einem schon die BH entgegenblitzen. Man kann dann je nach Lust und Laune noch im Wald orographisch rechts weiter aufsteigen und weiter oben einsteigen. Wir haben bei unserer Begehung noch die nächste Stufe mitgenommen die ebenfalls mit einem Kettenstand eingerichtet war. Möglicherweise gibt es oberhalb auch noch nette Passagen.

Follow the road for about 500m into the valley and then turn right onto a forest road. This leads over a bridge over the Straneggbach and after another 500m directly to the bridge at the waterfall. Shortly before you climb over a ridge on the left and land at the beginning of the waterfall where you can already see the BH flashing. You can then, depending on your mood, continue to climb orographically right in the forest and enter further up. During our ascent, we took the next step, which was also equipped with a chain anchor. Possibly there are above also still nice passages.

Oberhalb der Brücke gibt es ein paar kurze Abseiler aber auch schöne enge Passagen. Dann wird der Canyon vertikaler, insgesamt gibt es 3 20m Stufen und ein paar kleinere. Dazwischen sind immer wieder nette Kolke zu durchwaten.

Above the bridge there are a few short rappel but also nice narrow passages. Then the canyon becomes more vertical, in total there are 3 20m steps and a few smaller ones. In between there are always nice scours to wade through.
