Von der Straße Santander - Oviedo (zuerst N-632, später N-625) bei Arriondas südwärts in Richtung Leon abbiegen (dh. weiter auf der N-625) und über Cangas de Onis rechts ab in das obere Sella-Tal (Wegweisung Riano / Leon). Etwa 8 km nachdem man die Ortschaft Santillan durchfährt, biegt nach einer Brücke (über den Vallegon) ein Sträßchen nach Amieva ab (Beschilderung). Rechts unterhalb eine etwas vergammelte Wirtschaft, wo man das untere Auto abstellt. Über Serpentinen geht es aufwärts. Nach der zweiten Serpentinenfolge (etw 3 km von unten) biegt rechts eine Piste ab mit dem Schild 'uso exclusivo para ...'. Hier ist auf der anderen Straßenseite der Parkplatz für das obere Auto (sofern man 2 dabei hat).

From the Santander - Oviedo road (initially N-632, later N-625), turn south towards Leon at Arriondas (i.e. continue on the N-625) and turn right via Cangas de Onis into the upper Sella Valley (signposted Riano / Leon). About 8 km after passing the village of Santillan, after a bridge (over the Vallegon), a small road turns off to Amieva (signposted). On the right below a somewhat dilapidated inn, where you can park the car below. The road climbs over hairpin bends. After the second series of hairpin bends (about 3 km from the bottom), turn right onto a dirt road with the signs 'uso exclusivo para ...'. Here, on the other side of the road, is the parking lot for the top car (if you have 2 with you).

Vom Auto führt ein Weg direkt hinunter zum Bach (5 Min.).

A path leads from the car directly down to the stream (5 min.).

Kaum eingeschnittene Waldschlucht, dann 1 km Laufstrecke außerhalb des Baches. Schön der 25-m-Seiler im unteren Teil (wo man ab der Mitte von rechts auch springen kann), sonst nur mäßig attraktiv. Nach dem ersten Teil sollte man bei den Fixseilen links hinauf aussteigen und erst bei einer Brücke unterhalb der oberen Serpentinenfolge der Straße nach rechts hinunter zu einer Brücke und dort wieder ins Bachbett einsteigen

Barely incised forest gorge, then 1 km run outside the stream. The 25 m ropes in the lower part (where you can also jump from the right from the middle) are beautiful, otherwise only moderately attractive. After the first part, you should get off at the fixed ropes on the left and only at a bridge below the upper serpentine sequence of the road turn right down to a bridge and there re-enter the streambed
