Von Reutte auf der 198 das Lechtal aufwärts bis Stanzach. 500m hinter der Ortsmitte von Stanzach rechts abbiegen, den Lech queren und 2,4 km fahren nach Vorderhornbach. Dort nehmen wir die Hornbacher Landstraße L264 in Richtung Hinterhornbach. Nach 4.5 km kommen wir über den von rechts (aus nördlicher Richtung) herabkommenden Stützbach. !30m weiter und noch vor der Lawinengalerie biegen wir in spitzem Winkel auf den Forstweg links hinunter ab. Nach gut 50m liegt links der Piste eine kleine Kapelle (von der Teerstraße kaum sichtbar). Hier vor dem Holzzaun Auto abstellen.

From Reutte on the 198 up the Lech valley to Stanzach. 500m behind the center of Stanzach turn right, cross the Lech and drive 2.4 km to Vorderhornbach. There we take the Hornbacher Landstraße L264 in the direction of Hinterhornbach. After 4.5 km we cross the Stützbach stream coming from the right (from the north). !30m further on and still before the avalanche gallery we turn left downhill at a sharp angle onto the forest road. After a good 50m there is a small chapel on the left of the track (hardly visible from the tarred road). Park your car here in front of the wooden fence.

Von der Kapelle der Piste folgen, über die Holzbrücke des Hornbachs auf der Forststraße bleiben. Immer rechts haltend kommt man etwa 150m nach der zweiten Verzweigung auf einer Brücke mit Holzbohlenbelag über den Doserbach (unterster Zustieg). Etwa 50m weiter auf der Forststraße steht rechterhand ein Jägerhochstand. Dort links etwa auf der Grenze zwischen Wald und Lichtung weglos aufwärts - allenfalls undeutliche Trittspuren. Ca. 100 Höhenmeter geht es hinauf bis zu einem Wildwechsel (schlecht zu sehen), der links in die Schlucht führt (mittlerer Zustieg). Steigt man (weglos) weiter aufwärts bis auf 1630 Meter Höhe, erreicht man die freien Hänge über der Schlucht (Faulholzer Kar) und quert hier ca. 150m nach links (in östl. Richtung) zum oberen Einstieg in die Schlucht.

From the chapel follow the slope, crossing the wooden bridge of the Hornbach, stay on the forest road. Keeping to the right, about 150m after the second fork, you will come to a bridge with wooden planks over the Doserbach (lowest access). About 50m further on the forest road on the righthand side is a hunter's high stand. There, on the left, approximately on the border between forest and clearing, ascend pathlessly - at best indistinct footprints. About 100 meters of altitude up to a game crossing (difficult to see), which leads left into the canyon (medium access). If you continue (pathless) upwards to 1630 meters altitude, you reach the free slopes above the canyon (Faulholzer Kar) and traverse here about 150m to the left (in eastern direction) to the upper entry into the canyon.

Nach dem Einstieg im Hochkar folgen zuerst kleinere Stufen, dann zunehmend höhere Abseiler. Nach dem mittleren Zustieg wird die Schlucht vorübergehend sehr eng.

After the entry in the Hochkar, smaller steps follow at first, then increasingly higher rappel. After the middle access, the canyon temporarily becomes very narrow.

Vor der Mündung in den Hornbach kann bei zu viel Wasser im Hornbach orgraphisch links ausgestiegen werden, um am Schluchtrand bis zur Forststraße hochzuklettern. Sonst kann man den Hornbach direkt queren und jenseits hinauf zu Straße zu steigen oder bei wenig Wasser bis zum Parkplatz im Hornbach verbleiben.

Before the confluence with the Hornbach, if there is too much water in the Hornbach, it is possible to get off to the left and climb up the canyon rim to the forest road. Otherwise, you can cross the Hornbach directly and climb beyond up to the road.
