Mit dem Auto auf der Westautobahn bei Regau abfahren, knapp vor Bad Ischl zweigt eine Straße in Richtung Weißenbach am Attersee ab. Dieser folgt man bis nach ca. 8km auf der linken Straßenseite (knapp vor dem Steinbruch) eine Forststraße abzweigt. Auf der gegenüberliegenden Straßenseite gibt es einige Parkmöglichkeiten.

By car on the Westautobahn exit at Regau, just before Bad Ischl a road branches off in the direction of Weißenbach am Attersee. Follow this road until after about 8km on the left side of the road (just before the quarry) a forest road branches off. On the opposite side of the road there are some parking possibilities.

Man folgt nun der Forststraße bis zu ihrem Ende, überquert das Bachbett des Weißenbaches und gelangt auf eine Forststraße. Dieser folgt man nach rechts (Westen) bis man zu einer kleinen Holzhütte gelangt bei der nach links (Süden) ein Karrenweg abzweigt. Diesem folgt man bis zu einem Wegweiser. Nun kann man entweder gleich den Abschlußwasserfall besichtigen indem man dem Weg Richtung Nixenfall folgt, oder man geht direkt zum Einstieg in Richtung Eibenberg. Will man gleich zum Einstieg so folgt man dem ansteigenden Weg bis zu einer Brücke wo sich selbiger befindet.

Follow the forest road to its exit, cross the streambed of the Weißenbach and reach a forest road. Follow this to the right (west) until you reach a small wooden hut where a cart track branches off to the left (south). Follow this path until you reach a signpost. Now you can either visit the final waterfall by following the path in the direction of the Nixenfall, or you can go directly to the entry in the direction of the Eibenberg. If you want to go straight to the entry, follow the ascending path until you reach a bridge where the entry is located.

Der erste kleine Wasserfall wird gleich orographisch links abgeklettert. Die zweite Stufe führt zu einer Verblockung und den nächsten Tümpeln. Diese müssen links über die steile Wiese, mühsam und nicht ungefährlich, umgangen werden. Danach gelangt man zu der ersten Abseilstelle. Die nächsten Stufen werden wieder links umgangen und nach einem kleinen Wanderstück und einer kleinen Stufe gelangt man zum Höhepunkt des Canyons. Der Nixenfall wird am besten in zwei Etappen abgeseilt, wobei die letzte Sicherung direkt im Wasserfall nicht als Zwischenstand zu gebrauchen ist. Meist ist hier auch reges Treiben von Touristen die den Wasserfall (und die Canyonauten) besichtigen.

The first small waterfall is immediately downclimbed orographically left. The second step leads to a blockage and the next pools. These must be bypassed on the left over the steep meadow, laborious and not without danger. Then you reach the first abseiling point. The next steps are again bypassed on the left and after a short hike and a small step, you reach the high point of the canyon. The Nixenfall is best rappelled in two stages, whereby the last belay directly in the waterfall is not to be used as an intermediate belay. Usually there is also a lot of tourists visiting the waterfall (and the canyoneers).

Man folgt dem Wanderweg flußabwärts und zweigt beim Wegweiser nach links ab und gelangt wieder zu dem Wegweiser den man schon beim Zustieg passierte. Von hier aus folgt man dem Zustiegsweg zurück zum Auto.

Follow the trail downstream and turn left at the signpost and return to the signpost you passed at the access. From here, follow the access path back to the car.
