Von Locarno fährt man ins schöne Maggia Tal --> auf der Bundesstraße fährt man durch mehrere kleine Ortschaften (Achtung Radarkontrollen!), bis man zur Ortschaft Someo kommt. In der Ortschaft Someo hat man 2 Parkmöglichkeiten, wobei die in der Ortsmitte beim Brunnen und einer Brücke (wo der Wanderweg weg geht), am besten ist. Vor der Tour sollte aber noch der Wasserstand kontrolliert werden und das Überstellungsfahrzeug am Ausstieg geparkt werden. Dazu fährt man noch ca. 2-3km nach einer langgezogener li Kurve befindet sich re ein großer Parkmöglichkeit. Hat man keinen 2. PKW, so geht man ca. 20-25min bis zum Brunnen/Wanderweg in Someo.
From Locarno you drive into the beautiful Maggia Valley --> on the main road you drive through several small villages (attention radar controls!), until you come to the village of Someo. In the village of Someo you have 2 parking possibilities, whereby the one in the center of the village near the fountain and a bridge (where the hiking trail leaves) is the best. Before the tour you should check the water level and park the shuttle car at the exit. To do this, drive about 2-3km after a long bend to the left, there is a large parking area to the right. If you do not have a 2nd car, you walk about 20-25min to the fountain / hiking trail in Someo.

Auf der Seite vom Brunnen geht ein Wanderweg mit der Beschilderung „Lualt, Madonna di Monte, Bignasco“ und Sentiero di montagna. Der Wanderweg zieht sich li anhaltend den Berg hoch, vorbei an mehrere kleine Bächlein, Kapellen und Häusern. Für die Tour und den langen Zustieg (größtenteils bewaldet) sollte genug zum Trinken mitgenommen werden! Bei einer Weggabelung (auf beachtlicher Höhe) zweigt man li ab. Nach einiger Zeit trifft man auf eine Ruine und danach auf ein schönes Steinhäuschen auf offener Fläche. Der Wanderweg geht li oberhalb weiter und führt an weiteren Ruinen vorbei. Nach einer freien Stelle kann man schon einen der hohen Wasserfälle sehen. Von hier aus geht man noch weiter bis zu einen Steinhaus auf ca. 990Hm, umgeben von Buchen. Dort führt, auf der li Seite, ein steiler Pfad zum Bach/Brücke auf ca. 890Hm hinunter. Noch weiter oberhalb (vom Steinhaus), bei der großen Brücke, die über den Bach führt, einsteigen zahlt sich nicht unbedingt aus (nur einige unterhaltsame Rutschen).

Diese Canyoningtour ist nur etwas für absolute Canyoningprofis, die hohe technische Abseiler mögen. Die Rutschen und Sprünge am Anfang der Tour sind sehr unterhaltsam, wenn auch nicht immer leicht einschätzbar. Einige Verblockungen und Stufen können über die Böschung umgangen werden. Für die kleine Stufen sollte ohnehin nicht zu viel Zeit verschwendet werden, da die hohen Abseilstellen sehr technisch und Zeitaufwendig sind. Die Kommunikation bei den Zwischenständen ist durch die Abseilhöhe und das Rauschen des Wassers nicht immer leicht. Auch die Bohrhaken/Laschen sollten vor dem Einhängen kontrolliert werden (bei unserer Begehung waren einige locker/defekt!). Es gibt einige Notausstiege (siehe Topo im Buch Eldorado Tessin), die meist über steiles Gelände führen. Im gesamten bietet die Tour, für den langen Zustieg, einige unterhaltsame Rutschen/Sprünge und viel hohe Abseilstellen mit schöner Aussicht. Der Anfang und Schlussteil kann man je nach Lust und Laune ausgelassen/umgangen werden.
This canyoning tour is only for absolute canyoning professionals who like high technical rappels. The slides and jumps at the beginning of the tour are very entertaining, although not always easy to assess. Some blockages and steps can be bypassed via the slope. Not too much time should be wasted on the small steps anyway, as the high rappels are very technical and time consuming. Communication at the intermediate levels is not always easy due to the rappelling height and the rushing of the water. Also, the pitons/eyes should be checked before hooking up (some were loose/defective on our ascent!). There are some emergency exits (see topographic view in the book Eldorado Ticino), which mostly lead over steep terrain. Overall, for the long access, the tour offers some entertaining slides/jumps and lots of high rappels with nice views. The beginning and final part can be skipped / bypassed depending on your mood.

La longitud del rapel más largo son unos 60 metros (puedes encontrar más instalaciones de reuniones de las que dice la topo reseña del libro Dorado Ticino). Longitud mínima de la cuerda de 70 metros para facilitar recuperación. Todas las instalaciones de reuniones en buen estado,o condiciones aceptables y todavía se podían usar ( 2 instalaciones con cadenas en V un poco oxidadas y algúna instalacion con un solo parabolt con argolla).
