Wir fahren von Garmisch-Partenkirchen auf der B 23 in Richtung Ehrwal, Lermoos. Nach dem Ortsende passieren wir den Campingplatz, der rechts der Straße in einer Loisachschleife liegt. 550 m nach der Campingplatz-Zufahrt und 140 m vor der Abzweigung der Straße nach Grainau/Eibsee biegen wir rechts hinunter ab und parken unser Auto am Ende der Stichstraße.

Vom Parkplatz gehen wir etwa 100 m weiter flussauf und nehmen dann den Steg zum anderen Ufer. Dort geradeaus und hinauf zum "Kramer-Plateu-Weg". Dort angelangt (800n üNN) ca. 400m höhengleich in westlicher Richtung kommen wir zur Brücke über die Kogerlaine. Direkt nach der Brücke nehmen wir den Steig rechts hinauf in Richtung Stepbergalm, Kramerspitz. Etwa auf Höhe 1260 m üNN quert der Steig das Kar unterhalb des Gelben Gwänds. Nun entweder in dieser Rinne abklettern oder zurück zur letzten steilen Grasrinne und dort abwärts zum Bach.
From the parking lot, walk about 100 m further upstream and then take the footbridge to the other bank. Continue straight ahead and up to the "Kramer-Plateu-Weg". Once there (800m above sea level), we reach the bridge over the Kogerlaine about 400m to the west. Immediately after the bridge, take the path to the right up towards Stepbergalm, Kramerspitz. At around 1260 m above sea level, the path crosses the cirque below the Gelbe Gwänd. Now either downclimb in this chute or return to the last steep grassy chute and descend to the stream.
